Very Crazy Car Experance! :)

Today, before we went up to the mountain for a homeschool ski day,I rode in a little car that my dad is renting. His truck had to be worked on so he got this little car. Let me tell you, it is sooooooo little! Now, I have not ridden in many little cars, but this one was so small that you felt like everything was going to squash you! (Oh, by the way, this car is also fairly old too!)
Well, anyway, we had to take this LITTLE car to my Dad's office. Dad thought that my window was down. So he said, "Could you roll up your window?" Well, guess what my response was, "I don't know how!"
This car was so old that you had one of those crank things to roll the window up and down. Of course I did not know that. My Dad got such a kick out of that! He also said that the car did not have the lock buttons you push that can lock all of the doors!
I hate to tell you the truth but I have never ridden in a car like that before! :)

Taylor's Karate Rank Test!

I know that some of you will not believe me when I say this. Taylor had her karate rank test today!!
Ever since the boys started karate, Taylor has wanted to do it. SO, her dream came true. One night we were at the dojo for a family night and they had a game where anyone could play. One of the prizes was a private lesson with the teacher. Well, Taylor won! :)
So, today was it. Taylor has worked so hard to know all of the white belt moves so that she could take a rank test instead of a lesson!
So here are some pictures! :) Look at your own risk. Lots of Pictures! :)

CONGRATULATIONS TAYLOR!!!!!!!

The First Martyr

Yesterday, Dad read to us the story of Stephen, the first martyr (which can be found in Acts chapters 6&7). After reading this, Dad asked us the question, "Are you ready to stand for what you believe?"
I got to thinking about that question. "If somebody stuck a gun to my head and asked if I believe in Jesus Christ, would I have the enough courage and strength to say "yes"?"
Recently, I wrote a report on courage, and I saw that you need courage to do just about everything!
Then, not so recently, I had to write a paper for a debate class about standing for what I believe is right.
That got me thinking again! :) "I have stood for what I believe is right in the past, but could I stand and face persecution?" My flesh would say say no, I don't want to die. Then I look at one of the "debates" I have had with one of my friends. I stood then and I'm still standing now. Standing firm in what I believe is right. Could I stand that strong in the face of persecution?
Matthew 10:33 says: "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him shall I also deny before My Father which is in heaven."
I should hate to have Jesus Christ deny me before His Father because I denied Him.
Stephen, Paul, Peter, and John the Baptist are some of the first martyrs.
There is a book called Jesus Freaks. It has lots of stories about Christian martyrs. That book will not stop growing 'till Jesus Christ comes back.
Become a Jesus Freak. Stand up for what you believe is right. And one day your name may be in the book of Jesus Freaks. Not everyone has to die to be a Jesus Freak; you could be debating about what you believe with a friend or a family member.

"What would people think when they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak? What will people do when they find that it's true? I don't really care if they label me a Jesus Freak cause there ain't no disguising the truth.
What will people think, what will people do? I don't really care what else can I say, there ain't no disguising the truth."

I will ALWAYS Be True

I will always be true
No, I'll never be leaving
I will be here with you
Through the storms and the seasons
Through the sun and the rain
Through the joy and the pain
I will know what to do
I will always be true

I will always be true
No, you never should doubt it
Once again I will prove
There is no way around it
Through the questions and tears
Every day of the year
I will know what to do
I will always be true

If you need a shoulder to cry on
I'm here every time
And when you need a hand to hold
I'll give you mine
I'll give you mine

I will always be true
You can always believe it
And when my life is through
Well, I hope you will see that
Every day that I live
Every breath that I breathe
Yes, it all was for you
I will always be true

East to West

I'm sorry that I have not posted much lately, but with no ballet group, what are you to do?
This is one of my favorite songs! It would make a lovely dance!
It is called "East to West" by Casting Crowns.
