Friends from Haiti!!!!!!!! ~Day 1

On Friday, we had some missionary friends come to town and stay with us. They only stayed Friday night and left on Saturday. :(
It was so much fun to have them over! I have, for a long time, wanted to be a missionary so, it was lots of fun hearing their stories!
We had dinner and then we took them up Pilot Butte. We got to the top about 1/2 an hour before sunset. We kind of camped out up there waiting for the sun to set! :)
Here are some pictures.

Here is the crew. We did get some comments about how big of a group we were! Some one even thought that we were all related! :)
The boys
I hate to say it but boys (who don't cooperate) are VERY hard to take pictures of. As a consequence I did not get very many pictures of the three of them.

Regency Dress!

Here are some pictures of a regency dress that I have been working on!

It has under sleeves so that you can either wear it with long sleeves or short sleeves!
I used the Sense and Sensibility regency gown pattern for the sleeves and skirt. For the neckline I also used the Sense and Sensibility regency neckline supplement pattern.
On the outside of the sleeves I put little triangles. I got the idea from the movie Pride and Prejudice. One of Elizabeth's jackets had that pattern on the sleeves and I really loved it so I thought that I would try it!

I will stop my jabbering and let you see more pictures of my dress! :)

Lake Tahoe ~ Days 2, 3 & 4

On day two, we went to an old mining town called Virgina City! I have to say it was the coolest old mining city I have been to!
While we were there they had a old time gun fight that was really funny! (Not that gun fight shows are to be funny!)
The reason why it was so funny was because there was one guy who was playing his part REALLY well! If any of you have seen the movie "Apple Dumpling Gang", the show was like that movie.
There were two bad guys and one good guy! The bad guys were a lot like Amos and Theodor from that movie! In other words, VERY FUNNY AND VERY STUPID!
The actors played their parts well!

On day three, we did not do much. The boys, Mom, and Taylor went to the beach, while Dad and I went to the post office to mail some letters!
Then, at dinner we had a visitor! Can you guess who it was?

Yep, you're right! A squirrel!

On day four, we rented a boat and went around the lake! It was cold, but it was fun!
We did not go water skiing because the water was WAY too cold!
Here are some pictures

Then for dinner we had.................
Jarod DID catch 5 crawdads in the lake and brought them home for dinner!

Sorry for such a long post! It was really hard to put three days of pictures together and not make it really long!

Lake Tahoe ~ Day 1

As some of you already know, our family is in Lake Tahoe, Navada!

My Dad came here growing up and we kids have never been here! So, we took a trip to come and see where Dad spent lots of his time!
On Monday, we went down to the lake and spent the day there! Then we went and drove around the lake!
Here are some pictures of the boys, Taylor, Dad and Giselle in the water. Then there are some pictures of the view of what we saw while we were at the lake!

Here are some pictures of our drive around the lake!
